The Copperbelt University hosted the Russian delegates from the Russian Cultural Center on 26th June, 2020 at the main campus.
Opening remarks were made by Vice Chancellor Prof.Naison Ngoma who in his speech encouraged collaborations between CBU with other Universities. He said that CBU should not only be specialised in research, teaching and community services but needs to develop the habit of critical thinking which is open to industrialization and innovation and this will push the University to create something tangible in line with the needs of the country.
The Director for the Russian Cultural Center in Zambia Dr.Alexandr Anismov cheered on CBU students to apply for scholarishps in Russian Universites in order for them to gain knowledge to impove their lives and the world at large.
The highlight of the event was an exhibition of the programs from various Universities done by Dr. Kah Masmba the regional coordinator for development of collaboration project with Russian Universities.
